Airbrush Tanning FAQs

An Alora tan will last for 6-10 days, based on your skin type, preparation, and aftercare. Check out these Prep/After Care pages for more information on how to ensure your tan will last as long as possible.

We recommend scheduling your tan 2 days out from your big event.

• Come to your appointment wearing loose-fitted, dark clothing and open toed shoes. This prevents your tan from transferring or rubbing. No leggings and no socks!!
• During the spray tan application, you are free to wear as much or as little as you want. Keep in mind the tan lines you will be creating!
• Men must wear bottoms during their session.

Absolutely not! Each Alora appointment starts out with a skin consultation so that we can understand your skin type and your desired outcome. Instead of having a single “one size fits all” solution, we carry several brands that cater to all skin tones & skin types to ensure we get the best results possible.

Yes! Keep in mind that spray tan solution does not include SPF, so it is not to be substituted for sunscreen or other sun protection.

This feels like a good idea to hop in the shower, shave, and exfoliate within a couple hours of your tan, right? However, this is a big no-no. Have you ever gotten your brows waxed and then tried to put makeup on afterwards, only to find out that it won’t stick? It’s the same concept here - your skin is super fresh after exfoliation, and it won’t be able to absorb the tanning solution.

Typically this is not a problem. Although the active ingredient in the solution is FDA-approved, we can not make the determination if it is safe for your particular pregnancy. We always recommend checking with your doctor before getting a spray tan.

If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged 100% of your scheduled service fee. If you you reschedule within 6 hours, you will be charged 50% of your scheduled service fee.
